Flowing from conversations between participants on the Chairs’ Leadership programme, the AoC and the Education and Training Foundation have been working in partnership to facilitate a Chairs’ Development Network. This network, proposed by chairs who have already attended the first of the ETF’s development days at Oxford Saïd Business School, presents an opportunity to build a community of FE college chairs.
The purpose of the network is to build a community of FE College chairs to share knowledge and experiences to help grow the overall governance capacity of the sector, including drawing on effective practice beyond the sector, in order to help colleges’ become more sustainable in meeting the needs of their learners. Gathering such expertise through this networking will give everyone the opportunity to share challenges and successes, providing the chance to learn from each other and help work towards developing a self-improving system for colleges across the country.
One of the requests from the event was to research and develop an online forum for FE College chairs. I am pleased to announce that we are now in a position to launch the FE Chairs’ Development Network – an online community for FE college chairs.
Please click on the link which will take you to the LinkedIn page for the network. May we ask that you agree to the Code of conduct for the network, which can be found on the right-hand side in the “about this group section”. Chairs’ Development Network – an online community for FE college chairs.
